The Colborne Architectural Group Pacific was retained by Defence Construction Canada to prepare detailed design documentation for the complete upgrade of this heritage armoury building on Burrard Street in Vancouver.

A seismic upgrade was included to post-disaster standards as well as code upgrades, internal functional alterations and a complete roofing replacement. Building ventilation, electrical and lighting systems were also improved.

The roof replacement was completed in 2006 as a first phase of construction. Approval for the balance of the project is anticipated in 2007.
