CIBC Corporate Real Estate engaged The Colborne Architectural Group Pacific Inc. for the renovation of four CIBC branches under the 'Delta Plus' program. Branches located in White Rock, Ladner, Tsawwassen and Vancouver received general finish upgrades throughout as well as renovations to allow the branches to function better for current retail banking needs. In general, renovations included the addition of new interior offices, replacement of Customer Service counters, improvements to accessibility for disabled persons and general maintenance work.
The Client's goal was to bring the various branches into general conformance with current CIBC design standards with new floor and wall finishes, new millwork including new CSR counters and new furniture. A further goal was to create 'High Value' areas; distinct zones of enclosed offices for Personal Bankers and Financial Advisors to meet privately with clients. All work was carried out with condensed construction schedules while the branches remained in operation. The extent of renovation and upgrades varied from branch to branch with project construction budgets ranging from approximately $88,000 at Ladner up to $185,000 at White Rock. Branch sizes range from 4,800 to 8,500 sq.ft.
