CAGP was retained by the Workers' Compensation Board of B.C. to be the co-ordinating consultant and provide architectural services related to the seismic upgrading of the Victoria area office. Working in collaboration with the structural engineers, Read Jones Christoffersen, the basic objective of the work was to stiffen the roof and wall framing in as discrete a manner as possible, minimizing both visual and physical impacts on the existing offices. The project area was concentrated mainly on the 20,750 sq. ft. main floor and involved phased construction and temporary internal staff moves. The project was completed in February 2004 for a cost of $425,000.
