Unlike K-12 educational facilities for public school boards, the design of Post-Secondary facilities tends to be more functional program specific for both new buildings and the retrofit of existing. While administrators and users are often more sophisticated, budget and schedule challenges are often similar as public funding is typically constrained. In over 20 years of practice, our firm has completed a wide variety of projects for BC Post-Secondary institutions including technologically-advanced teaching &
learning facilities, science labs, performing and fine arts venues, food services, student social spaces, administrative offices and specialized campus support facilities. We offer experience from project feasibility and planning through to completed new facilities and building retrofits and are both familiar and comfortable with challenges of working with complex and demanding academic uses groups.
