The COLBORNE ARCHITECTURAL GROUP Pacific Inc.

The design of industrial buildings presents a different range of challenges for the Architect. Industrial buildings are generally subjected to very heavy use and abuse and therefore must meet high standards of durability with minimal maintenance. Buildings should be economically conceived, clearly organized and expressive of the functions contained within. However, industrial forms, construction materials and finishes as well as the scale of construction often lead to design opportunities which can reinforce the Owner's corporate image. As well, the detailed coordination of building services with the related engineering disciplines is paramount in projects of this type.

The firm has completed a range of industrial projects either as prime consultant or as architectural sub-consultant to large engineering consortiums. Projects range from smaller additions and renovations to existing plants to new, large-scale installations.
